Hampshire County Council elections
We need candidates to stand in the Hampshire County Council Elections. HCC is split into divisions and in Basingstoke we need to select candidates for 6 divisions. There is one per division and two of the divisions have been reserved for women candidates only. Our divisions and the areas they roughly cover are:
Basingstoke North – (Popley/Oakridge) Reserved for Woman only
Basingstoke North West (Buckskin/Winklebury/Rooksdown)
Basingstoke Central – ( South Ham/Brookvale/Houndmills) Reserved for woman only
Basingstoke South East – (Brighton Hill/Grove/Eastop)
Basingstoke South West( Kempshott/Hatchwarren and Beggarwood)
Loddon (Chinham/Old Basing/Mapledurwell)
Hampshire County Councillor receive an allowance of £12,489 per annum, the majority of County Council meeting are help during the day and this may suit those with more flexible arrangements.
You don’t need to be a politics or policy Guru – just have a listening ear and a warm heart with a desire to improve our communities.
