Residents have concerns about road safety on Sullivan Road near the Brighton Hill medical centre and shops. They tell us about the accidents that have happened and the near misses. It is a serious worry and the County Council need to act. The sight lines are poor with stationary buses and a blind corner. There are high numbers of vulnerable people crossing the road to access the surgery. Children and young people cross to access two local schools and there’s significant footfall to local shops. When buses are stationary, cars just cannot see pedestrians crossing.
As your local Brighton Hill Labour team we believe that it’s time to take action now before there is a fatal accident. Please help us campaign on this issue, sign our petition at: https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/pedestrian-crossing-sullivan-road-brighton-hill
