Jacky Tustain is the candidate for Basingstoke North.

Jacky is hoping that you will elect her to represent you at Hampshire County Council. replace firm local favourite. Jacky sees synergies between working with the local council and county. For example, issues with paths and roads come under county so having a pathway into County will  help deliver the vision for a better environment for the area.

As a family person, with a disabled son she understands how tricky it can be for people to navigate through the bureaucracy to get the best for those you love, which can be challenging under normal circumstances, never mind when life is stressful and busy.

Jacky believes in a fairer, more equitable society for all, where the right essential services are available and accessible. Everyone should be able to live safely, securely, and well. To have an opportunity to fulfil their potential. And we need to care for those that need it most – and when they need it, not in 6 months time.

Jacky says “We can only do this by protecting our services – our health and social care, our education, disability support and our police”. She added ” That is where County Councillors have an important role to play”.

Jacky also touched on her belief in our need to protect the environment through sensitive planning and good management of our infrastructure. She believes in getting the right balance for all, including businesses, people and the natural world.
